Energy consulting with engineering judgement
We make residential and non-residential buildings fit for the future – through considered efficiency, CO₂-neutral heating technology and sound economic reasoning.
Who we are
Two engineers, complementary backgrounds
- Mechanical engineer with more than 15 years in energy systems, energy storage and e-mobility
- Process engineer from the chemical industry with expertise in thermodynamic design and system analysis
Our shared aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions in existing buildings substantially – always with an eye on whether the measure pays for itself.
Precondition for BEG funding
Listed in the German federal register of energy efficiency experts
Anyone applying for KfW or BAFA funding must involve an expert listed for that specific category. K&S Energy is entered for the following areas.

- BEG individual measures: insulation, windows and doors, heating, ventilation
- Climate-friendly new build (KFN) and residential property for families (WEF), including LCA

Systems, processes and qualification

In practice: we cover both residential and non-residential buildings, both refurbishment and new build, and can therefore accompany funding applications across the full range of the federal efficient-building programmes. Our position
Why we focus on buildings
Coming from large-scale industry, we came to a clear conclusion: the most effective CO₂ savings are right on our doorstep – in our homes. Around one third of Germany's emissions originate in the building sector.
That is where the leverage is, and that is where a well-planned measure changes both the emissions and the operating costs of a property for decades.
